Through the years, the love and admiration I have for architecture has led me to focus my photographic practice not just on my artistic subjects, but also on architecture. For my architectural photography practice I have chosen the name ArchiPhos – an amalgam of architecture and photography. This is also a poetic interpretation of the first words in the Greek language: “Archi,” which means “beginning”; and “Phos,” which means “light”. “In the beginning there was light.” For me, architectural photography is about light and the shape of the space.

Die tiefe Verbundenheit, die ich zu der Architektur empfinde, lenkte den Fokus meiner fotografischen Praxis nicht nur auf künstlerische Projekte, sondern auch auf die Architektur. Für meine Architekturfotografie habe ich den Namen ArchiPhos gewählt – ein Amalgam aus Architektur und Fotografie. „ArchiPhos“ ist auch eine poetische Metapher: auf Griechisch bedeutet „Archi“ Anfang und „Phos“ Licht. Am Anfang war das Licht. Die Architekturfotografie steht für mich für das Licht und die Form des Raumes.
